Jo Ivester, award winning author and LGBTQ/Civil Rights advocate, spoke on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m. at the Community Congregational United Church of Christ (CCUCC) at 525 NE Campus St., Pullman. The event was hosted by the League of Women Voters in Pullman with support from the Justice & Witness Team at CCUCC. The event was free and open to the public.

Author of Once a Girl, Always a Boy and The Outskirts of Hope, Ivester focuses on raising awareness of the transgender community. Her latest book is a family memoir of a transgender journey. BookPeople of Moscow will be at the event selling Ivester’s book.
