The League of Women Voters held this evening program on February 3, 2022, at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
Amir Gilmore is an associate professor in the WSU College of Education’s Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education program. He also serves as an associate dean for equity and inclusion. Dr. Gilmore’s research includes something called “Black Boy Joy” and he is well versed in areas such as Critical Race Theory, feminisms, and social theory. In this presentation, he spoke with participants about current challenges of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and how those who consider themselves allies can help.
